Showcase:  Developing, Maintaining, and presenting a Design-Tech Portfolio for Theatre and Allied Fields, by Rafael Jaen, is one of the only textbooks of its kind.  It provides information on not only what to include in a design-tech portfolio but how to present the portfolio.  Hard portfolios, digital portfolios and websites are discussed.  I was honored that Mr. Jaen asked for my contributions to the book.  I was even more pleased when a potential graduate student came to visit for the MFA Costume Design and Production program at The University of Alabama.  When asked what made UA one of her choices she said that she did not have a portfolio and since she had graduated several years ago with her B.A., she currently had no where to get information regarding this specific type of portfolio.  She found this book to be a great help.  Why UA?  "This book kept talking about Donna Meester at The University of Alabama and I knew I needed to meet her."  This interviewee will be entering the Costume Design and Production program Fall 2015!
